Quantitative evaluation of weathering degree through Fuzzy-AHP method and petrophysics analysis for sandstone carvings

The assessment of weathering degree sandstone carvings plays an important role in scientific conservation. However, the current state research cannot meet needs evaluation. Jurassic sandstones used this study were selected, and soluble salt acid simulation experiments performed on standard samples. Non-destructive methods are to determine weight, surface hardness, ultrasonic velocity, water absorption. Furthermore, mineral composition petrophysical properties analyzed laboratory small specimens. It is revealed that main mineral, such as quartz feldspar, shown by oblate prolate shape. moisture content rock samples has a significant impact their compressive strength. deterioration process increases porosity rock. As number cycles increases, so does quality, velocity. Water absorption coefficient, other hand, over cycles. In addition, Fuzzy-AHP method adopted further evaluate experiment macroscopic results show 0.3271 for sodium sulfate solution, indicating moderate weathering; 0.1951 pH = 1 sulfuric 0.1060 2 acid, showed low 0.0516 3 0.0421 4 inferring very weathering.
